The fourth class in Physical Education focused on LESSON PLANNING.
There are separation of classes in terms of age, because of the differences in intellectual abilities and body conscious at different ages especially teenagers.

There are separation of classes in terms of age, because of the differences in intellectual abilities and body conscious at different ages especially teenagers.
The following factors are important to plan the pedagogy of the lesson:
- Age
- Gender - Boys and Girls
- Number of Student in the class
- Types and quantity of resources
- Previous knowledge, skills, experiences
Including aspects of all learning domains:
- Cognitive (Thinking)
- Affective (Emotional)
- Psychomotor (Physical)
The objectives consist of must be taught and which include the following elements:
A (Audience), B (Behaviour), C (Condition), D (Degree of accuracy) not necessarily in that order.
- General
- Specific
For example:
Demonstrate how to run using proper form and technique during a game of tag.
Break it down:
- Running
- Stop and run
- Stretching
- Turning
- Running in different directions.
The teacher must affirm clearly for e.g. that stretching and touching must be done to tag the person with the left or right hand. The hands and arms are in opposition with the knees whilst running. These teaching points must be emphasised. The teacher must highlight the critical teaching elements in running.
Cognitive - orally explain the elements in running
Affective - co-operate and have respect for others in the group
Psychomotor - actually performing the activity with 100% accuracy.
The Teacher must continue to motivate the students by positive and constructive feedback to the specific activity.
Practical Lesson:
Included the technique of visual tracking which is using eye to track an object.
Certain elements are used to position one's self for e.g. the size, shape and speed of the object, thought-processes on how to receive the object.
There are specific guidelines where the object must be sent into a space (forward, backward, sides, upwards to the person), but not directly at the person.
This lesson was very interesting as there are many elements to consider whilst planning for a lesson to be deliverable, achievable, motivating and stimulating for all participants.
